There is nothing more uncomfortable than sitting around a good meal or relaxing by the fire after a day in the fresh air, and feeling a tick crawling along your neck.
Well, you may never experience such a scenario after learning this great technique. The process is extremely simple but very effective. You're going to ask yourself, "Why did not I think about that ?! "
All you need is a good lint roll (the one with an adhesive tape) and a few moments of your time. Simply take the roll with you when hiking or working in the brush and roll it from time to time on your clothes. You will be surprised to see what you get after a short hike.
If you want to minimize the risk of ticks jumping on your head, use some peppermint essential oil or lavender. You can spray on your clothes or apply a small amount to your skin. If you have very sensitive skin, you may want to dilute peppermint oil with almond or jojoba oil. A slight tingling sensation of peppermint is normal, do not worry. The smell of peppermint and lavender helps to deter ticks, mosquitoes and black flies, but when conditions are unfavorable, a lint roller must be used in addition to the oil.
Alternatively, you could do the same thing with duct tape wrapped around your hand, tacky side, but the lint roller is obviously more convenient and easier to use. This is really a useful thing to keep and share with all those who like to spend time outside but who hate to deal with ticks!
